Recommended Posts

Hello

When I set de playback and recording device to the Pod xt and I plug a headseat everything is ok

I can hear the song played with a player and my guitar.

But when I want to recording the both it doesn't work ??

It record only the guitar and not the song

What I want to do is playing with the song and recording both!!

I try also with the player of the pod , but no way

Is it possible ???

No external speakers !!

You can't record the incoming backing tracks/song unless you connect them to the Pod's processing inputs. The Pod only sends its own sounds to your computer for recording. It does not send its incoming usb stream nor the input from its cd/mp3 player.

You might be able to run a 'Y' cable from the XT's headphone jack (1 male, 2 female). Use one for the headphones the other for running a line in to your sound card. You will have to figure out the level volumes on your DAW. You could probably just solder the cables together yourself to save a few $.

How are you playing the song? PC? MP3 player, I-Pod?

A typical work flow is to import your song into your DAW.

Then play along with it while you record.

This also give you more control when mixing.

SO what source id the sound on you computer?

If it is from your music library just import it into your DAW onto its own stereo track.
