vitorfjpavan
Hello Guys, greetings from Brasil. So I bought a Pod Go some months ago, I'm a professional musician and I'm using it for work. I love the tones and the easiness that it brought to me, so straight forward and well built. But I'm struggling with it something. I realized when I'm using it with my stage monitor (I have a JBL IRX108) the AMP out source is sending less volume compared to the Main Out, even when I set the volume knob to control both outputs. I tested today with my stage monitor here and is obviously sending less output. But I need those outputs to be matched because my monitor needs lots of input to operate well. I tried on the manual and couldn't find nothing about it, it actually says that the two outputs (amp out and master out) should be sending the same amount of volume. Other question is, is there someway that I can use the L and R master outputs one for the FOH and other for Monitoring as if they were two MONO outputs? Because I don't want my effects to be divided wrongly, with one side sent to the FOH and other just to my monitors
silverhead
In Global Settings -> Ins/Outs set the Amp Out Source parameter to Main Outs (see manual). Other question: use a Mono, not stereo, FX block as the final block in your signal chain. That will ensure that both the L and R Main outputs send the same mono signal, meaning there’s no point in using any stereo FX.anywhere in your signal chain. About the first answer my amp out source is already set to main out, but still it sends less volume than the main out. About the stereo/mono main out thank you so much, I'll do that and have the two main outs sending the signal in mono because this way I'll assure that both my monitors and FOH receive exactly the same amount of input volume
silverhead
I don’t know why the levels are different, but there may be an effective workaround for gigs. Does your JBL monitor have a volume adjustment? If so can you use it to increase the volume of your stage monitor and achieve what you want even though it seems to sending a lower level signal. The Main Outs will still feed FOH where volume can also be adjusted independently.
vitorfjpavan
Indeed that's what ive been doing, I set the volume in my monitor. Other day I was sending the amp out to a Fender Deluxe amp (with cab and amp off) and realized that when I put the output master volume to MAX, the amp out started to distort the fender deluxe input even if the amp is with low volume. I guess that master knob should be only controlling the main out, but I had set it up to control both amp and main outs. When I used the main out the amp distorted lot less even with the master knob almost all the way up. That's the only setback for me about this unit. The amp out seems to work different with gain structure than the Main out, it's not like its matched.
DwtnToronto
Could it also be related to Main outputs being set to Line level to go to FOH? I'm not sure if the Amp out is forced to be at Instrument level regardless of Main Out level in which case it would be giving less signal. Anybody know?
