thaw
I am using the HX effect for effects only. Mostly it is doing delay and reverb at the end of my chain. It also has some compression, a boost and some Mod effects. I always run a volume pedal after my drives and before mod. So in the HX effects I use the volume block. This works well except that when I rock the pedal back to the heel position (0%) the block turns off. This causes the volume to jump back up to 100%. Is there a way to force a block to stay on all the time so that I can use the pedal in the heel position as a mute (i.e. the pedal has 0% to 100%) Thanks! thaw
P.S. It should read using HX Stomp for effects.

When a Volume block is “ON” the Exp pedal controls the effect from 0 - 100%, when ”BYPASSED” the volume block passes all the signal through (100%) Keep it turned on and use these options to keep the zero setting between presets. From the HX Effects 3.0 Owner’s Manual > Page 47 > Global Settings > Pedals ”Determines whether each expression pedal position is recalled per snapshot, per preset, or applied globally. If you want a Volume Pedal or Wah to maintain its position when switching presets, set this to “Global.” https://line6.com/data/6/0a00050e070d666767d27e720/application/pdf/HX Effects 3.0 Owner's Manual - English .pdf Hope this helps/makes sense

Locate that assignment and remove it.... then make sure the volume block is on when you save the preset and/or any snapshots depending on your snapshot global settings. The volume pedal block will always remain on, and will obey the global settings of the EXP pedal.

Sorry if stupid question, but how do I change the ON/OFF (bypass) status on the volume block without changing the position and curve of the pedal. I want NO bypass change but it seems to be tied to expression position? thanks!

Locate that and you will see EXP is assigned... remove the assignment.

HI, From the procedure described in the HX Effects 3.0 Owner's Manual > Page 36 > Assigning Switches in Signal Flow View. https://line6.com/data/6/0a00050e070d666767d27e720/application/pdf/HX Effects 3.0 Owner's Manual - English .pdf "By default, bypass toggling the effect via EXP 1 or EXP 2 is configured for “heel down = off” behavior. To reverse bypass behavior, press FS3. In such a case, the block will be bypassed when moving the expression pedal past the configured Position location. Since it is possible to configure the bypass of multiple blocks to be assigned to an expression pedal, you can set each block’s Position value differently, thereby allowing the pedal to turn some blocks on and others off at different positions in the pedal’s travel. You can change additional bypass behaviors for the selected block within the Signal Flow view by touching FS2 and accessing both pages’ parameters." Hope this helps/makes sense. codamedia
Since you don't want an on/off state on the volume pedal.... set it to none. @datacommando pointed you (and me) to the right page in the manual.... your volume block will be assigned to one of the EXP pedals positions, you want to set it to "none"
