Amplifi 75 Will Does Not Find New Firmware

Recommended Posts

For some reason my new Amplifi 75 does not find any new firmware even though it shows as being at version 1.0.  I believe 1.05 is the newest, but cannot get my App off my iPhone or iPad to detect the need for a firmware update. Tried refreshing and it says connecting to server, but nothing.  Tried it again today and still nothing (thought it was a server issue).  Tried resetting, repairing and several other variations.  Amp connects to app OK, but cannot get the update to work.  Loads settings fine for the various songs.  Anyone else run into this?  Like the whole product concept, but still seems a bit rough around the edges.  Hoping to solve this or I will be taking the amp back while I can.

Appreciate any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Yes, I get to the point where I click Amp Flash and get V1.00 as being on my amp.  There is nothing highlighted indicating a new version.  This is a brand new amp so may be an issue with it, but wanted to see if anyone else has any suggestions.

Sounds like a server issue.

Have you tried logging out via the AMPLIFi Remote app and logging back in?

FYI: I upgraded my Amplifi 150 firmware to version 1.05 a while ago.  I use an iPhone 4S. Now, when I go to "Settings" in my Amplifi app, under (About)"About AMPLIFI Remote"> "Version" it says: 1.00.1. However, from "Settings">(Updates) "Amp Flash>, it shows a little graphic of an amp with 150 written on it and says "Amp Flash Version: 1.00.5"

When I upgraded my firmware, it took a couple of tries -- and as I recall, it took a bit of time.  It wasn't easy to determine if it was working or when it was done since I don't recall a graph to show loading status. I just let it load for a while (like an hour or more), and eventually it loaded the 1.00.5. Shortly thereafter, after rebooting the phone and program, it showed up as 1.00.5 in the settings as noted above. That was when I knew it was actually upgraded.  This doesn't directly answer your question, but I hope some of this helps.  AE

Tried logging out and back in around 4 pm yesterday.   Came up with a server unavailable message.  Will try again later today.

Wifi.  Good news is that I tried it again this morning and after shutting down and restarting my iPad I got the notification that 1.00.5 was available.  Doing the update now.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

This also fixed my issue as well. I even talked to a line 6 tech on Friday and he told me that it was normal to show the version 1.00 !! WTF!!!

Anyway, mine is updating as I type this so maybe all will be good after it completes.

Now if we can get more presets and a proper manual....

Yep, update worked like a charm after a shutdown and restart of the iPad 4 !!!! Looks like this is the procedure to follow.

If you are reading this Line6, you might include this tip in the full blown manual that I'm sure you're busily writing. Lol

Suspect there was a server issue / outage.  I tried exactly the same thing a couple of days ago and no luck.  However, powering down the amp, and resetting the ipad did help eventually.  Update was successful.  I think the Amplifi is a great concept and look forward to some software enhancements which will really make these amps amazing.
