Pod Farm License Key After Format Problem.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

it's the first time i'm asking for help in this forum.I own a line 6 ux1 and i'm pretty happy with it.I am also running a Sony Vaio 64bit  laptop.Everything works fine.

I just have one question.I want to format my laptop and put the same genuine windows cause it's been a mess lately.

Can i format my laptop and then have pod farm active again? The license key is as i know for one computer..but we are talking about the same machine..but just after a format..we'll i have any issues and in the end have no activated product?I guess i will not have any issues with ux1 right?

Please Help,

Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am sorry to chime in on someone else's ticket, but I am in the same situation, and if I can get an answer here without having to submit a separate ticket I would appreciate it.

The hard disk on my computer became corrupt with bad blocks, so I purchased new Hard Drives, and did a fresh install of Windows 7 on the new drives. It is the same computer and same computer name. I am wrapping up re-installing all of my software and am to the point of setting my Line 6 GX back up. I noticed on the license page, that it states that I have used 2 of 10 lifetime device activations, One for my Computer and one for the GX itself. I am curious if I go through the setup again, will that use up two more of those lifetime device activations even thought it is the same computer and same GX unit?

it will use your authorizations... but "lifetime" really only means "until you have to call" line6 will reset it for you typically without issue if needed.

i also wouldn't bother authorizing your computer, unless you paid to upgrade pod farm...
