(having issues with open chords being sharp) anyone know what type of nut blank i can use? thinking of going bone but didnt know if anyone has found a pre cut that gets you close vs buying a blank piece of bone. edstar1960 Posted May 7, 2014 Share Posted May 7, 2014 I am sure the luthier that you get to do the fret lowering will also sort out the nut for you. It will just be a matter of filing down the existing slots in the existing nut to match the new height of the frets. No need to get a new nut in this case.
