anuragsharma
A few days back I bought a Line 6 POD HD 400...It is working fine...But the problem which I am facing is that when I plugin my "B.C. Rich Kerry King King Wartribe" Lead Guitar in my Line 6 POD HD 400 and connect my Line 6 POD HD 400 to my PC via "Line In" port then I the sounds are not clear...I don't have a soundcard in my PC...Also, I had updated my Line 6 POD HD firmware and drivers to the latest version through "Line 6 Monkey"...So, will I need a soundcard in my PC in order to hear the sounds of my "Line 6 POD HD 400" clearly? silverhead
Why are you connecting the HD400 to your computer? If you just want to hear the sound of your guitar through the HD400 you should connect your monitors, or headphones, directly to HD400 outputs. If you don't have a pair of speakers/monitors or headphones that you can connect directly to the HD400 I strongly recommend that you get some. Otherwise, as you say, the sound is awful. And that's entirely due to the low quality built-in soundcard and speakers in your (probably laptop) computer.
anuragsharma
I am using "Creative Inspire 2500 2.1" speakers in my computer...If I buy a "Focusrite Scarlett 2i2" Audio Interface instead of a soundcard then will it help?
silverhead
You already have both an audio interface and a soundcard - it's your HD400. Connect your Creative Inspire speakers to the L/R audfio outputs of the HD400. You may need an adapter to fit the HD400 1/4" outputs to the Creative L/R RCA inputs in the back panel. That will be a good first step. However, your HD400 produces a much higher quality sound than any speakers designed for general purpose computers will be able to showcase. If/when you want to get better sound you should consider a pair of studio monitors.
