justcrash
Hello all! My band is considering doing the tune Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold. I want to do the harmony parts (and there are several) justice. However, I set the smart harmony to what I thought would be right, Dm, a 3rd below, and it pretty much sounds like I'm simply not in tune. I have to assume I am using it wrong. Any suggestions? jandrio
I do not know the song, so I'll give u general ideas. there r a couple ways 2 go about smarting harmonies. The "mix" on the smart harmony seems to be "even" around 35-50% for most of the applications when creating dual guitar sounds such as Eagles, Iron Maiden, etc. 4 stereo sounds, place the smart harmony on path A or B, after amp/cab/mic, raise the mix around 50% and pan the mixer left/right. the links show examples of how 2 set up smart harmonies.
