kcaff
I'm trying to hook my pod hd pro x to my 003 rack via s/pdif. I purchased two of these, but i'm not getting any signal. Is this the wrong cable for using s/pdif? I'm new at this and any help would be appreciated. lachinelli
See if you have to enable S/PDIF in 003 rack. Also, set the POD to 96 khz. I only get crappy unsynced sound when I set it in lower sample rates.
kcaff
Ok I will try 96khz, I was using 48khz before. When I try to enable S/PDIF in the 003 rack it keeps saying the external clock source is invalid.
innovine
You're not using the line6 link at the same time? Cos that disables the pods spdif.
kcaff
No I'm not using the line6 link. I tried setting pro tools and the pod to 96khz and I'm still not getting any signal.
duncann
Probably something stupid, but the audio cable is connected to the input, not ouput, of the 003 rack? Other than that, you probably know best about what options you can change on the 003 rack via drivers/daw (pro tools?). It might be something buried deep in the preferences. You could also make sure you have the latest drivers for the 003 rack. I think this might be the correct link: 003 Rack Drivers
kcaff
So i downloaded the laster drivers for the 003, bought a new pair of spdif cables from guitar center, made sure i was connected properly between the 003 and pod hd pro x, tried updating all the setting in pro tools, and it still says invalid clock source when i try and use the spdif connection. At this point i'm thinking it's a problem with my actual pod hd pro.
TheRealZap
you likely have to specify the clock source in your 003 software.. seems that's what the error is stating... should see something similar to this in syspref (assuming mac.. probably a windows version in your control panel) most likely just want to keep it at internal... but these are the settings you'd want to try.
