Adrianotan
Hi guys, after I updated my hd500x last night , did a flash and clear my old patches and back to factory. I started creating new patches. When I first added the amps, I notice noise from the background even if it's a clean amp with no drive. Noise gets louder with amps like tread plate and all. I Don have connection issue, from guitar to hd500x then usb to laptop. I'm using monitor headphones connected to the pod.Didn't have problems in the past, the noise is really annoying although adding a noise gate help abit but it wasn't there in the first place. Pls help, I really down out here. Thanks!
phil_m
Did you do the global settings reset after you installed the update? http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-hd/after-pod-hd500x500-flashre-flashupdate-man-r160

phil_m
Do you get noise if you aren't connected to your computer?
Adrianotan
Yup, sound is still there. I did the global reset and pedal calib, rollback on flash and still has it. I think I will get it back to the store as it is 3mths old. Thanks again for help.
phil_m
These may be long shots, but they may be worth looking into before you take it back. First, is it possible that you have "Mic" selected for Input 2 on your tones? That can add quite a bit of unwanted noise. Also, have you tried a different guitar cable? Does your guitar have active pickups? If so, is it possible that the battery in your guitar needs replaced? I know it would seem like an odd coincidence that it would happen right after you update, but I have seen it happen more than once where noise was simply the result of a dying 9V in a guitar. bjnette
The other is look at any changes made. For eg, I have to take HD500 to my Internet PC and place it on the desk. PC Is on top the desk too. Totally different enviroment and hook it up to Edirol speakers. Basically look for the change and cables can go faulty after a change too. I understand the update was a change too, but did anything else change?
