Best gig bag for an HD500X?

What's best really depends on what you're looking for, but if you're looking for a nylon case with a pocket, the Gator Case is great:

I've been using one for my HD500X for several months and I really like it. It's just a bit snug on the corners, but that gives it a nice comfy fit without letting it bounce around inside the case.

absolutely not a problem, i only mentioned having seen it asked/answered so that you knew that i didn't have first hand info like some other users that might respond.

Sorry for the question, I'm just new around here

So it shouldn't be a problem

thanks,

C

I've been usuing the SKB HD500 case for my Digitech RP1000 for the past 3 years (finally just started using my HD500). It has major problems with the zipper pulls. Both came off after a few months and eventually got lost. I replaced them with zip ties. The rest of the case is fine and has held up to a lot of use and abuse with no ill effects to the content inside. Other than the zipper pulls (which may be a deal  breaker for you), it has no noticable wear and tear.

I'm not sure how you guys got this to fit in the Gator bag.  HD500X are 21.5" long and the Gator bag is 22.5" exterior length.  I just got mine in and was not able to get it to fit after 5 minutes of trying.  Not even close.  And that's the larger of the two bags.  I'm continuing my search, all advice is appreciated!

All I can say is the official L6 bag wasn't much better in that regard. I needed a tub of Crisco and a sledgehammer to get the thing in there initially... got a little easier over time.
