Default Output Setting?

It's a global setting because it is designed to tweak the HD500 output tonal characteristics to that of external gear - a particular guitar amp. Each guitar amp/cab has its own characteristics and this setting permits you to get the best match that you can between the HD500 and the specific amp. It doesn't depend on the specific HD500 preset, but on the external amp. Once it is set it should only need to be changed when you switch external amps - not presets. For individual presets you use the internal HD500 amp/cab/FX settings.

Ah ha. So I am using a DT50. What I find is certain frequencies sound better with different amp models. For example, I was attempting to dial in a good Plexi tone. Not realizing that the output settings were global, I started messing around with them. I dialed in this sweet Plexi tone. To my horror, my other finely tuned presets sounded terrible. Which is why I wanted to know the default settings. But now that I am back to the default settings, my current patches sound good but the plexi sounds like crap!

Back to the Plexi drawing board!
