Dumb question AMPLIFi FX100 and Amplifi 150

Recommended Posts

Contemplating getting an Amplifi 150. Then I saw the FX100 which I think is cool.

However, it seems somewhat redundant to get an Amplifi 150 and an FX100 as well.

Do you guys/gals think it would be better to get the Amplifi 150 and then get a Line6 FBV pedal.

You are correct, it would be redundant.

Hard to answer the question of which one to get.

The FX100 would work well with studio monitors or into a PA.

The AMPLIFi 150 with the FBV is a standalone solution and the FBV can be used with other Line6 gear.

It really depends on how you plan to use it.

IF you have any of the StageSource line I would definitely go for the FX100 if you are purely interested in a monitoring solution for the AMPLIFi line.

IMHO, AMPLIFi 150 plus FBV won;'t compare sound-wise to FX100 plus StageSource.

I'm a new owner av an Amplifi 75. Awesome amp with endless tones but I have two guestions.

- How can I turn off the tones (4 saved tones) in the amp and just use the knobs on top to find my tones manually?

- Is it not possible to adjust the bass and trebble to get a better sound when using the amp as a blureooth stereo with my iPad? It would be great when playing loud with some background tunes to give the music more puch.

Does the Amplifi 150 have alot more bass the my 75?

Thanks guys!

You can't. There is no "manual mode" or anything like that. You are always in a preset in one way or another. You can edit anything within a preset, and you can save it as something else in the app under "My Tones" if you want. You can also overwrite any of 100 preset locations on the amp itself.

The tone knobs only affect the guitar tone. They don't do anything to what's being streamed over the Bluetooth.

I've not tried a 75, but it has an 8" woofer compared to the 12" in the 150, so I would think, yes, the 150 probably offers more in the bass department. Whether it's a lot more, I don't know.

Thanks Urber Guru,

I don't see why Line 6 can't figure out how to make the tone controls work on blue-streamed music as well. Could be another selling point for this awesome amp.

Mabey they can add this to Amplifi's next software update.

I tested to crank up the bass in both iTunes and Spotify (settings - equalizer) add it did help alot. The Amplifi 75 Amp sounds great now!
