jak_E_lee
i now have my 75 over a year.never had an issue with it but does anybody know where the compressor feature on the amp is and what it is labelled under in the fx ? im trying to get that 80s metal thing going with it. I mainly use red insane setting. ideally im pushing hard to achieve the sound jake e lee had from the album ultimate sin with ozzy thanks

Jimmikatt
Have a listen to my soundcloud link in my sig. I'm an old 80's player, and only use the compressor on my clean stuff, to give it that string pop. you not sure what you got now, but adding the flanger you could get really close, try both adding it in the pre stage and the post, see what you like best. all recording done on my Spider IV 75, Les Paul w/Duncan JB pickups. jak_E_lee
will do jimmi.I was thinking a slight hint of chorus myself to give it that 80s metal style. im using spider 4/75 btw If you can kinda think to the tone for the solo on bark at the moon. Currently im using an aria madaxe(superstrat with floyd) and its fitted with artec hotrail pups
Jimmikatt
If your just jamming at home for fun, play around with a bunch of different settings, open up your spider edit, and just play around a bit, over time you will stumble on something you really like. but for recording, i like it best to add all the effects in the mix, and record the guitar dry.
