Line 6 Spider III 120 LCD is dead
by version2 on 2011-05-02 07:16:07.3160

Hello, all!

So, I have a and a bit of a problem. My amp was accidently left in a musty, dusty dungeon. Upon rescuing my amp, I found that the LCD is not wokring properly. Everything else is working, but the LCD is only displaying hex codes. I am comfortable working with electronics, so I don't have a problems replacing the LCD, but I am not sure where to get the right one. Also, maybe I am jumping the gun. Maybe it is not an LCD problem. The reason I believe it to be the LCD is because everything else is working properly. If anyone can confirm my logic, that would be great.

As you can imagine, it is almost impossible to work with this amp without a working LCD. I am just glad that I created some good (and wide range) of presets before this disaster fell upon my spider.

Any help is appreciated!

Hello. Sorry to see this happen to your amp. While we don't sell parts directly to the public, you can sometimes have one of our authorized service centers do so on your behalf. They can be found at Additionally, since we don't publicly supply schematics, it might be best to get their take on the root cause of the problem.

The information above may not be current, and you should direct questions to the current forum or review the manual.
