Hi all,

I recently bought a backtrack+mic.  Then just today, it fell to the floor when the table it was placed on was knocked accidentally.  However it still works fine and still records.  My problem is, there is something loose inside that clicks or moves around whenever I shake or move the backtrack in different positions.  It can sometimes be irritating especially when I record something in a moving platform (like inside a car, etc).  Is there a way to check what's loose?  I can see that the backtrack is very much sealed and there are no screws.  Maybe I can place it (the loosed part) back to where it came from.  Looking forward for a positive response.  Thank you.

Opening up the Backtrack is not recommended; they're not serviceable units. You may want to get in touch with our Canadian Distributor to see what options are available to you.

Thanks for the reply.  Only one thing, what do you mean when you said that this unit is "not servicable" - Does that mean that even my Canadian distributor of service center could not repair such units? If that's the case, these units are good as disposable/garbage when they get old or damaged then?  I think my warranty cannot be applied anymore as this unit was damaged through falling and not damaged when it was bought months ago.

The Backtrack+Mic is not field servicable because of the intricate nature of the internal components of the device.

As Perry suggested, contact SF Marketing to inquire as to what options are available to you to assist you with your Backtrack+Mic.

The information above may not be current, and you should direct questions to the current forum or review the manual.
