Pole or no pole?
by negatiefmann on 2012-10-08 00:06:36.3960

i`m using 2 L3t tops and one L3s Subwoofer in our practiceroom.

One L3t stands on a Hardwarecase and the other L3t is placed on the subwoofer (it is a matter of space in the room)

i`didn`t use any poles (until now). Are they necessary? I´ve read something about the "radiation".

If i need poles....there are now Line6 poles available in Germany (at this moment).

What can i do?

There are no hard and fast rules.  Generally speaking it is beneficial to get the HF horn up to just above the head level of the audience.  This helps ensure that the high frequencies penetrate the listen space without being blocked by the audience.

Does it make a difference if there is a Pole inside or Not?

What is the difference? Can you hear it?

We are Talking about using it in a practice room.

The L3t/m speaker DO have a pole mount switch and when you do put them on poles it automatically sets the speakers in reference PA mode.  But you do not need to operate with poles.  You can manually set the switch to any mode you wish.

The information above may not be current, and you should direct questions to the current forum or review the manual.
