What signal path(s) does the looper record or play in pre position
by MartinDorr on 2012-11-30 07:54:59.2220

The manual says the Looper records a mono signal. No questions about that.

Does anyone know off-hand what input signal(s) or signal path(s) the looper records and feeds if it is in pre position?

In other words, is the looper always recording a summed signal of input 1 and input 2, or is it always picking input 1, or something else?

Similarly, is the looper always feeding whatever was recorded into input 1, or input 2, or both when in pre position?

It probably all boils down to whether the Looper is inserted after the input1/2 selection takes effect or before for both recording and playback (and it could be different for record and playback).

In PRE position the looper records the selected Inputs(both 1 and 2) to the selected preset, but does not recod any processing. In playback, the unprocessed recorded signal is fed to the currently selected preset for processing. This may be differnet from the preset used to record the loop.

In POST mode the looper records the processed output of the preset. In playback it plays back the signal as recorded, regardless of the currently selected preset.

PRE = input signals recorded/played back immediately before entering the signal chain for processing.

POST = signal recorded immediately before hitting the device outputs, after all processking has occurred. Playback is the recorded signal without further processing.">">
