  1. I’ve been using Cubase 12 for ages now with my Line6 HX Stomp XL as an audio device on Windows 10. I’m still receiving Windows 10 updates. In the last few weeks, Cubase has been hanging when opening on the “Select Audio Device” window. When I say hang, I mean in a pretty big way! You can’t kill Cubase, in fact, if you try, it also hangs Task Manager. Task Manager also fails to be able to get application names to display for some of it’s processes and Windows refuses to restart. I uninstalled all my audio drivers and Cubase and everything seemed to be working fine till I reinstalled the drivers for the HX Stomp XL Anyone else run into this?
  2. Does anyone else's Stomp XL just randomly loses some of it's global settings. I use it regularly but every now and then I turn it on and the Up/Down Switch setting has reset to bank and it takes me AGES to work out how to change it back to preset because I can never remember what the setting is! This isn't a one off thing, it's happened 4-5 times in the last year, and is unrelated to powered changes. (I.e. worked that day when I gig a practice in the morning, turned up at a gig, plugged it in and it's reset again!)
  3. I think I worked it out. I neeeded to change this setting to Stomp 8? I think that's working! For anyone else looking at the thread, going into Global Settings -> Footswitches there is an option called FS8 Function. The choices are ToggleEXP (which is default), then AllBypass, SnpshtDn, SnpshtUp, PresetDn, PresetUp, Bank Dn, Bank Up, Stomp 8, TAP/Tunr. Stomp 8 turns it the footswitch on the MIssion into "just another button", rather than one which switches between EXP1 and EXP2. You can then assign the bypass options on both blocks to Footswitch 8. Then assign the EXP1 to BOTH positions on the wah and the volume pedal. This means that when you move the wah position, it moves BOTH the position of the volume block and the wah block, but if you set those blocks so one is on and the other is off, pressing the mission footswitch swaps which is active! NICE! This means, that if you've a snapshot where you want one effect to be active on the Mission, and another footswitch with a different one, you can just set the correct block to be active in the snapshot, and the mission will just control it properly. I wonder why it doesn't work like this by default?
  4. Yes, I've read the manual and that is how I was configuring it originally, except that I wasn't using a volume pedal block. That wasn't the question though. I have a different issue in that I want to be able to rely on when changing snapshots that I know what the Mission is controlling but I'm not sure if that's actually possible! My confusion is that the first reply suggested something which appears to contradict the manual, hence why I'm confused.
  5. Ok, so I've just discovered the new dual cabs block so I can reduce my 2 cab blocks down to one and make more space (hurrah!). So, to get this working right, I need to have the volume black and wah block, assign both position values to EXP1 and then on each block assign the bypass controller to footswitch 8. Is that right? Just setting this up, and when the toeswitch has been clicked, the pedal no longer controls the wah position value? but if I set it to EXP2 it does? I'm so confused!
  6. Hi, I'm struggling to get something working with a Mission Engineering SP1-L6H Line 6 and my Stomp XL. I've the wah connected and working fine swapping between the modes. I.e. Select the first preset which defaults to Snapshot 1. The mission is currently set to control the output volume (not not enough blocks for the volume block). Press the toe switch and the Wah block enables and the mission now controls the wah position of the wah block (via EXP2). Great! However, if I change snapshot, there doesn't seem to be a way to send the mission toeswitch back to the initial position. I.e. if I press again on Snapshot one, it will reset any changes I've done (if I've turned an effect off) but the mission will still control the wah block position, even though that block is now turned off. It's now out of sync with what I was intending. Is there a way of setting the snaphot so that it will make the Mission know it should be in EXP1, not EXP2?
