Fixed,
Llast time i used it was for tuning only, I turned it off whilst still in tuner mode, it didn`t like that and would only work with the usb connected to a PC (go figure that one!!), anyway I connected it to the PC via usb, entered and exited tuning mode, disconnected the usb and it stayed working as it should, no connection to usb required. Hopefully this wil help someone else down the line.
