Silly question perhaps, but how can I find or create a bypass patch that just passes signal thru the box? I thought the ones labeled user were untouched but apparently not Thanks in advance

With my Pod XT Live - how can I just get a non processed sound to then start adding things to? I have several pedals since using this exclusively, and maybe want to use the Pod for just delay and chorus etc. I don't want to bypass the unit, I just want a starting point Thanks in advance

This happened to me after letting the pedal sit for just a few months. Nothing I could do would fix it, including opening it and tapping around, holding the right buttons down on startup everything I could find. So I dumped it and bought another one on ebay - they're pretty cheap nowadays - I think I paid $125. Thankfully I'd saved my bundles from before it died and voila, back in biz

I stand corrected - it's working again for me now to download directly to the unit. Thank goodness - I love my XT Live again! (I swear it wasn't for a while there)

Crap I can't sort thru all of them..... I'm sad, I thought my Pod XT Live was sex in a box..... Just don't get why they would kill this awesome function/resource.

Do you mean all the entire database of a gazillion patches? FWIW in case someone else wonders I just called support and he said yes you have to save them to your computer and to use Line6 Edit and drag and drop them. dang... one of those cases where newer isn't always better - "update" stuff and kill great functions

Thank you for the answer - even tho it sucks. It was way nice to just download them straight into the box to try them out. I spent many many many hours doing that - then saving the ones I liked. Why would they discontinue a great function like this??? Are they trying to push us to newer models and do the newer models have that function? This was the thing that made me love this unit SO much more than my previous Boss unit.

For a few years I've used customtone to download patches directly into my unit and it's what made the POD stuff exemplary for me. Yesterday I tried and it gives me a black screen with 3 links on it - that don't work. What happened to gearbox? Is there another version I should use or something? Please tell me it isn't discontinued or something. It says Guitarportonline is no longer an active service I went thru re-authorizing everything with license manager already and updating with monkey Please help - I love my XT Live..
