  1. I have one of the first Spider Jam Amps. I modified it with a replacement Eminence Speaker for even better sound. But I have noticed a noticeable hum noise when I turn up the Channel or Master knob settings lately. Even before the speaker change out. Is there a solution for this? I really want to use this amp for home music studio creations. Thanks
  2. I am wanting to add a peavey Impulse II monitor speaker(16 ohms) to my existing 8 ohm speaker on my Spider Jam V, 75W. The total resistance of the speakers will be reduced from 8 ohms to 5.333 ohms: 5.333=(8)(16)/(8+16) A parallel connection connecting negative to negative and positive to positive speaker connections. P=I*I*R P=75 Watts, R=8 Ohms, I=3.06 Amps or P=75 Watts, R=5.333 Ohms, I=3.75 Amps *I am not sure the above calculations are correct. Will my amp be healthy and not fry or overheat from the additional amperage? I sing and play acoustic allot and I would like to monitor myself singing and playing but place the Spider Jam Amp in front of me , far enough away so my guitar and microphone will not pick up feedback. I am using the Spider Jam as the PA. I already changed out the Spider Jam's speaker with a Eminence Maverick speaker and am delighted with the fuller sound and versatility of the Maverick's adjustable inner magnet core. Any advice would be helpful and thanks,
