    No Knob Response

I have reset my firmware, factory reset, and everything else I can think of but I cannot make it work. The scribble strips are blank (they do work but have no writing on them) and the knobs don't respond at all. Has anyone else experienced this? We were recording (L6 isn't open on Saturday so I can't call) and now we have lost the workhorse. I don't want to have to send it in for repair because we all know it'll be May before I get it back. Does anybody know a way to fix this? I need it!
  2. Hopefully it fixes the clicks and popping bug...I haven't had a chance to test as I just got my laptop updated. My desktop is still downloading. Anybody tested yet?
  3. Both of my Macs with El Capitan see the Helix, the problem I have is the clicks and pops. I hope Apple/L6 gets that fixed soon or I'm going to have to partition one of my drives so I can do some reamping on this record I've been working on.
  4. Right, I'm thinking of the RockCrusher attenuator/load box. My idea is to plug the guitar into the Helix, place some effects, stick a send in there that goes to the input of the amp, the amp then goes into the RockCruser and the line out goes back into the Helix and runs through any post processing and that goes out of the XLR into my studio channel.
  5. Is this possible? Say for instance I want to run a head direct into the Helix and use either a Helix IR or a third party IR and record the output. Would it be safe to do this?
  6. What's wrong with it? All my other audio stuff works flawlessly.
  7. L6, any ideas on when the El Capitan clicking and popping will be fixed? It's really bad and I can't do any reamping because of it. I upgraded to EC before purchasing the Helix because after tests all my other stuff worked perfectly.
  8. I'm working on a huge project with a band right now and I just got my Helix in. I want to reamp all the parts if at all possible. Right now I'm having to wait because of the El Capitan clicking and popping bug (it's BAD). However, I do want to ask if it's at all possible to reamp in mono. Everything I see is in stereo. Since the clean guitar track is mono why do I have to send it to the Helix in stereo? When you plug your guitar in it's mono so it seems counter intutitive to me. And on that note I want to bring it back into Logic in mono. Do I always have to bring it back in in stereo? All the effects and amp are set up in mono since all I'm working with currently are just hard panned rhythm tracks so there should be no reason to output a mono chain in stereo. Is this going to be avaliable in the future? FYI L6, I also had the hard crash issue when turning the unit off while in a user defined patch. I had to do the hard factory reset to get it to work. I haven't had that crash again, but I did have another issue where I went to assign a reverb to a foot switch and the name wouldn't show up in the scribble strip. When I rebooted that it caused all of the scribble strips to be blank. The way I fixed it was by opening up the Helix app on the computer. Quite odd...I am backing my user defined presets up constantly now in case I have another hard crash.
