Is there any way to disable the blinking light or must I cover it with black duct tape like I did with the X3 Live? Very distracting and not professional looking on stage (in my opinion). HD500 w/ no blinking light was fine...why did they go back?

Thanks, Uber, for the most excellent reply - I'm considering buying the HD 500X and keeping the HD500 as a backup, or just purchasing another HD500. What makes the 500X better and can I edit the presets and put them back on the HD500 to keep them both gig ready? Is it the "touch sensitive" thing or are there other improvements too? Thanks for your help!

Can I transfer my HD 500 presets to the new HD 500X with my computer (HD500 Edit Software)?

I have an HD 500 that works but has issues that need to be addressed by a repair shop. Meanwhile, I have a full gig schedule and would like to rent an HD 500 temporarily while mine's in the shop. Any suggestions or ideas where I might find this service if it exists?
