Bumping this. This problem happened to me again. POD Farm was running fine for the past few days and then today the same error came up. Obviously I was shocked and horrified, because I was already halfway done doing a song. But I found the solution, for anyone else having this issue.
In the Preferences > Hardware tab, select "Auto-Detect" at the "Launch POD Farm Using:" section. I'm not sure why, but right after that I could use POD Farm normally again.

Windows 10 Professional 64-bit
AMD FX 4300
8GB RAM
