Sorry for re-starting this thread. I've just got a G3s Atom, which has replaced my G2. I've not had any trouble with my HX one at all. Although I did update it to 3.83 firmware before hand. The only trouble I've encountered is to do with the effects order. I've got a HX one, Strymon volante and a Strymon Bluesky v2 all being controlled by midi, If i connect up the volante first then midi thru to the hx one. Then my Bluesky doesnt work, The blue sky has a TRS-midi jack and no midi thru, so it nneds to be the last pedal in my chain. If I put the HX one first with the volante sending the thru signal to the bluesky it all works fine. Not sure why this is.
I'm using cc messages to switch the pedals on and off, as well as PC messages an its all working as expected. The only thing that puzzled me at first was the amount of different PC and CC message types. It has PC+,PC-,CC+,CC- etc. I found a section in the extra G3s firmware update manual that explains what all these do. Which helped me as I'm fairly new to midi. I found on mine a CC+ activates when a new preset is selected, which I use to send a bypass on command. The CC- message sends a bypass off command as i leave that preset and go to the next. As you said earlier The G3s is just sending all the midi messages in one bulk hit. So I'm guessing me being updated to the latest firmware is it.
