I'm starting one of these open mic things in my local. I was hoping to save my self my equipment grief by taking my Pod HD Desktop, plugging in a guitar into the guitar line in set to input 1 and a mic into the XLR mic input set to input 2. What I was wondering was if I want to add a bit of reverb to the vocals, will this also affect the guitar signal in the other input or can I set up the effects loop across 2 streams to have different effects on each source at the same time say a bit of reverb on the vocals and a bit of chorus on the guitar? One post earlier said that any effects will change both signlas but another said you can set up the effects chain to have different effects on each input. Which is it?

So to save me carrying a head and cabinet to rehearsals, I just took my Pod HD desktop and plugged it into the FX Return of a tube amp they had in the studio. The problem was that whenever I turned up the volume high enough to be heard over the drums, the amp started screaming with feedback. I tried switching off the cabinet in the FX chain on the POD but it didn't seem to make much difference. Is there something horribly stupid I'm doing here?

No doubt this is in the manual somewhere but i can't find it. Anyway, I have my Pod HD desktop connected to my laptop via USB so that i can record guitar in Reaper with the laptop using the pod internal sound card for audio output. I also have the POD connected to an amp and monitors via SPdiff. I have found that when I play the guitar and put fx on the track in reaper, I'm hearing the pre-processed sound coming from the monitors where as what I want is to have the pc audio post processed sound coming from the monitors. I'm not sure if that makes any sense at all. I suppose what I'm after is for the pod to process the guitar signal and seems it to the pc then take the pc signal and send that as is to the spdif output. can I do that?

OK, so I have solved the issue. This will work for any tablet that does not have an external SD Card. Go to the play store and purchase StickMount. It costs about £1.50. Go onto amazon and buy yourself a USB OTG cable. That'll cost you about £3. Now buy yourself a nice big USB flash drive. Copy all your music to the flash drive. Plug it into the USB OTG cable and plug that into your Nexus 7. Now when StickMount mounts the drive, in teh options select that a media library scan should be performed on the drive when you plug it in. All the music on teh drive will now be included on the local library. Open up Amplifi remote and go to the music library section and there is all your music. Next play a song and sigh in disappointment as you realise that instead of using some sort of hugely clever sound matching algorithm to find an appropriate tone from the Line 6 custom tones catalog, AmpliFi remote simply gets the name of the artist that is currently playing and does a search for that name in the catalog, something you could quite easily do yourself in the search tab. Still, I beat Google and that's what counts.

So I've installed Amplifi remote on an old Nexus 7 so I can use the tablet purely for guitar stuff. Now I have about 50GB of music but as the Nexus 7 only has 16GB of space on it, my music library is held on a USB flash drive. When I've mounted it to the Nexus 7 and started Amplifi Remote, the music library tab isn't showing any of the music on flash drive although I can see it with a file manager. Where does Amplifi search to find the music in the library for Tone matching? I don't really want to have to fill the thing up with music files.
