  1. Hi all. I have a Relay G30 unit that has a semi-broken transmitter. The battery cover doesn’t stay closed and the belt clip is history. I’m working around that by using tape on the lid and using a Levy’s transmitter holder/case. But were I to buy a new transmitter, which I’m considering…..which one is compatible? Because I don’t see the G30 Relay, TBP06 transmitter available anymore, or anywhere that says which one is a replacement. Thanks so much.
  2. Thanks. The first one I had tried was version 1.1. Following your link I found another version as well....1.0. Same deal. Neither will install...same error message. Am I supposed to have the guitar connected when I try to install the Workbench software to the computer? Doesn't seem necessary to me and thinking about it....the 600 was hooked up yesterday when I tried to do the install. It says no software to be found. Weird!
  3. Oh I'm on a MacBook Pro Retina....OS High Sierra.....10.13.6.
  4. Hi all. I just got out my old Variax 600....which is in fact a very nice playing guitar actually........ and I wanted to add an altered tuning to it. I'm working on a tune and wanted this tuning along with one of the resonator/dobro models. It's been a very long time since I did anything like this with the Variax in the studio and the Workbench software I had previously, was on a computer that has since gone bye bye. I found the download .....but it said it will not install as it is from an "Unidentified developer" or something like that. So I go into my prefs and click on Open Anyway....go through the install auth process, says it's 12mb.....I click to install.........but then it says it can't be installed, because there is no software there to install. Huh?!! Am I just s- - t out of luck or is there a way I can get this software so I can tweak my tunings and get this song done? Thank you.
  5. Holee Crapolee!! Nevermind all. I just took it off and I was wrong....I am indeed afraid of the soldering. It's tight in there and there are so many little processors on that board.......yeah no...it goes to L6 or to an electronics repair place. Now to find such a place in my area. Thanks.
  6. Hi all, I asked this question before and got no answers but it was around Christmas so I'd like to try again. I stepped on the Variax input jack on my POD XT Live floorboard......while trying to traverse a cluttered studio......and broke it. I see this is an R-45 jack and is easily found. What I want to know is if this is an easy repair if one is handy with this kind of stuff and if there are any hidden issues for a non Line 6 tech taking off the back cover etc. I'm not afraid of the soldering etc, putting the new one in.....however there are a bunch of screws on the back and perhaps some of them are not supposed to be loosened when taking the cover off. Has anyone ever attempted this....perhaps to clean a scratchy pot or something. I'd love to get some input whether this can be done or if the best thing is to contact Support to send it in for repair. Thanks very much.
  7. Hi all. Season's Greetings. In a rush in a cluttered studio yesterday, I stepped on my Variax cable that was plugged in to my Line 6 POD XT Live. I believe it is broken nicely as far as the plastic housing although I don't yet know if it still works and also whether any of the connections to the PC board are damaged. I only use the POD to power and control my old Variax 500 which I record with occasionally and I'd like to fix it. My question is.....are these fairly easy to replace if one has a decent knowledge of soldering and working with such items or is this really best left to a Line 6 tech and sending it in to be repaired? I have located these online and the part is inexpensive....I'm curious to start opening things up but I thought I would ask you more experienced people here just in case there is any "stuff" where it would be better I don't mess with it myself. Thanks folks.
