Ok I may have figured it out again LOL. So using the app on my phone, I'm saving the presets to Bank 2 A and B. Switching to another bank, the footswitch just follows whatever presets are on that bank. I guess that makes sense. I was just expecting it to snap back to Bank 2 A/B. So I guess that leads me to my next point of confusion. Now that I have a 2204 mod preset on Bank 2 preset B, does that mean there is now a 2204 mod amp on that slot and not the Grammatico? I assume no but its a bit annoying not being able to see the amp model come up on the App version of Catalyst edit. Not sure if its the same for the full app.

Ok I was confused, then I thought I figured it out ... now I'm confused again. I feel like the manual isn't covering it or i'm just not wrapping my head around how this works. On my Katana, I can set all the settings how I like, then use the 4 preset switches to save those settings to a preset slot. On the Catalyst however, The amps, groups, banks and presets appear to all be tied to the same knob. So .... I have on bank 2 a preset using the Aristocrat that I set how I like it so I saved that to the A preset. I then configured a 2204 setting how I like and set that to the B slot. I can call up either on the footswitch. Great. If I go to the editor and select a different bank, I seem to blow over what's saved to the footswitch. Every time. What am I missing here?

I got the Catalyst CX60 recently to pair with my PodGo or use as a standalone amp. My first crack at getting it to sound good was a fail but I realized I should probably not be using my "presets". So I sat down with it again last night with a blank slate and got it to do exactly what I want it to do. The best results I had were to send the signal from the Main out of the PodGo to the FX return of the Cat. I preferred the tone of the Return setting over the Power Amp in setting and this gave me the option of having the post FX. I was happy with the tone as a starting point but decided to A/B the 2204 from my Pod Go with the 2204 on the amp since I have not done the 2.5 update. Both were VERY close. I just needed to goose the bottom end on the Pod go so turned on the EQ stomp and gave it a little bump in the low and and lower mids. I chose the simple EQ but perhaps the parametric might be a better chose... will mess with that later. After that tweak, I had both the 2204 from both amp and pod go extremely close. I applied the same EQ to the Gibson EH185 (Stone Age) model and that too sounds really good to my ears. Though, with that model I did turn the Amps Reverb off and added "Hot Springs" for the drip. That was all I had time for for testing but I'm definitely in a much better place now and have a handle on what's going on. Perhaps using the global EQ makes more sense but I was reluctant to mess with that just yet.

Sorry.. i never saw this reply. I never was able to figure it out. I even had someone try it and they sent me a video saying it sounded fine to him and I could clearly hear it in his test. I ended up just working around it by avoiding combinations of Amps, Cabs and FX where it surfaced. i haven't updated to the latest firmware (2.5) but the last firmware update (2.1 I believe I installed) did not fix.

I just got the CX60 but Shine On tone is probably favorite tone and usually where I start when setting up a clean. I found the Archetype clean got me pretty close without having to go to external FX. I added a little Chamber verb and some delay set low and the Boost set to about 9-10:00. I haven't messed around with any of the Muff or Fuzz type tones but you can probably get something close out of the box with just some reverb and delay. His rotary speakers are blended with his WEM cabs so those can be tricky to dial in with one amp. That's where you're likely going to have to add external FX or connect to a second amp to blend.

Ok so I've been doing better with this. Really trying to watch my levels but I'm still pulling my hair out a bit. I've added a google drive link below with both the Patch with 4 snapshots as well as a quick audio sample to demonstrate what I'm experiencing. I love this unit and it sounds fantastic on Cleans as well as higher gain stuff... its just some of the lower gain breakup tones I'm struggling with but I'm determined to figure this out. I appreciate any help especially for taking the time to download and look/listen to my files. Snapshot 1 - Clean HiWatt amp with only reverb. Sounds great in Headphones and out of my amp. No Artifacts whatsoever as far as I can tell. Snapshot 2 - Colordrive added. This seems to be causing the most trouble so far. I backed the drive way down and even tried raising drive and level from zero and as soon as it starts to do what I want which is a light break up/boost, the fizzy crackle appears. Its not even louder. If you listen to the audio sample or look at the waveform, the second set of strums has a drop in volume so not sure why its happening. Snapshot 3 - TS808 stomp on, Colordrive off. The TS is set for mild gain but still quite low. It sounds better to my ears but seems to be still there. There is a slight boost in level but less artifacts. Snapshot 4 - Colorsound and 808 off, OCD stomp on. Set it for low gain but even at a low setting its still kinda crunchy. Sounds decent and Fizz/crackle/whatever isn't as noticeable while playing but you can hear artifacts on the note decay. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UNG7gF1Y4odYh2LkSYl0f4zsnpnNl4Nm?usp=sharing

thanks for the reply. I've been using the Echo Platter model. Haven't tried the others yet. I will try lowering my pickups a bit I suppose. Just feel like I already have them fairly Low.

Hello, I'm new to the Pod Go so apologies if this has been covered... I did a search and couldn't find anything . I am dialing in tones and finding my way around the unit pretty easily. The only thing I'm struggling with is what seems like clipping on the input side of things. Its not amp gain but more like a digital crackle. I have the pad engaged and it goes away if I lower the pickup volume but on some models I have to back the volume way down. My pickup height is fine. is there another gain input gain stage I'm missing? the Axe212 had in input knob you can use to trim down the input gain. thank you
