Hi guys! I'm playing around with the POD but would like to find a setting that lets me use my guitar's volume knob to control the level of distortion like is possible on some amps. Basically I want one where my volume knob on 10 is a distorted tone but when it's turned lower the distortion decreases with the volume remaining the same. Is there any amp setting that works well for that, or maybe some kind of boost I can put in that will make that happen? Thanks!

Unfortunately not... hopefully they'll release a driver fix. My solution for now is to use a 3.5mm jack from my computer to the CD/MP3 in slot on the POD. Then I use built-in-ouput for outputting sound from my mac and the PODHD500 device for input, so then the volume control works.

nickbell_: Yup, output/input is on POD HD500 and what's playing music is different things, sometimes Spotify or Audacity or iTunes edit: yup, the guitar is at "normal" rather than pad Palico: The volume control doesn't seem to change the computer level, even if it's turn all the way down to mute it's still at the same volume. edit: also my "Amp" in the signal chain has volume set to 100% and the drive is in the middle

There's a Hardware Monitor Level, which works to bring the guitar volume down in the mix but it's at the max setting already (+0dB). :(

The master knob works to adjust the overall volume into my headphones but that makes the guitar volume lower too. Any way to adjust the mix between the two? Thanks!

Hi there. So I'm using my POD HD500 over headphones to monitor my guitar while listening to playback from the computer through the USB port (MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.10). The problem is, compared to the output from the guitar simulation, the computer's volume is WAY too loud. The volume control on my computer doesn't seem to do anything, neither does sliding the stereo output knobs in Audio MIDI Setup. How can I adjust the overall volume output of the computer? Thanks!
