  1. thanks for you quick response. But how does the mixer add these extra +5db? And does it make the signal worse somehow? And of course the dry signal is lower than the amplified one but it seems to be very low at the hd500x...
  2. Hi guys, I'm currently recording using my hd500x as USB interface. I made a few patches where the dry signal comes panned hard left and the wet signal panned hard right. Everything fine. I need to wet signal to get a feeling of the tone during recording. But the dry signal is quite weak. The most important thing for me is to have a perfectly clean dry signal withe the best audio quality possible. So what exactly does the hd500x do when I turn the path of the dry signal to for example +5db? Or even +12db? What would you suggest how to record? I haven't heard a difference in audio quality between the hd500x and a focusrite studio interface. What are your experiences? Thanks! Julian
  3. Hi, yes, the 4 seperate effect loops of the helix are in fact not bad! But i think i could manage it with the one from the HD500X. Anyway, thanks for the advice. Only one thing; do you guys know if there is something new to come within the next few months ? Beside the helix stuff, is there a "HD600" supposed to come out? Is it worth waiting for something or am I safe to get the HD500X Cheers, Julain
  4. ok, sure there is a DSP limit... but yeah, thank you!
  5. hi, thanks for your quick response. Sounds good, so just to make sure, I could also set all 8 effects to some delays for example ? Julian
  6. Hey Guys, just a short question concerning the POD HD500X: I know that there is a maximum of 8 FX to run simultaneously but is it for example possible to run 2 different (or the same) overdrive stomp boxes behind each other ? The reason i'm asking is, I have a PODX3 live, and there is no way tun run for example a pitch shifter and an overdrive one after the other because they are in the same group of effects, know what i mean? In case that this is possible on the HD500X I'll consider to get one. I also tried the new helix board (no doubt that you can do it on the helix, i mean you could possible do anything you can think of with this one) but it that case i would also pay a lot of stuff i would never need. I'm using these multi effect boards for FX only and as a kind of central controller in my rig. Also a reason to get a new one is because the FX loop of the X3 live is very poor, i mean there is a quite big signal loss anyway as soon as the X3 is in the signal chaine but it also has some advantages, so... However, thank you! Cheers, Julian
