  1. Thanks all you guys for your replies, that makes it clearer. My current setup is the POD HD500X directly into a pair of KRK nearfield monitors which made me think of the second question. Would have been nice to be able to emulate the real world scenario of placing effects between the pre and power amps but it seems not to be possible.
  2. So I am having some confusion following the routing in the HD500X So as I understand it there are two kind of AMP Models 1) Full Amp Models e.g Threadplate (Pre Amp + Power Amp + Cabinet -> Model) 2) PreAmp Models e.g ThreadPlate Pre (Pre Amp + ?? -> Model) So my first question would be do the Pre Amp Models just model the Pre Amp section of the amplifier in question adding any cabinet specific modeling to the Pre Amp Sound ? Not sure this makes sense. The second question is regarding effects placed after amp models e.g a Delay or Reverb. When this is processed are the effects applied to the final signal coming out of the miced modeled amp cabinet or are they applied in a "Effects Return" Kind of way between the pre amp and the power amp ? Thanks for you replies
