  1. The last few weeks I've had a problem with my HD400 where the volume will randomly drop and then come back in again. I play guitar with the POD connected to my desktop speakers via the phones jack, and initially I thought it was the cable or the jack on the speakers. However when playing with my band last week the same problem happened going straight into an amp. I also use the POD as an audio interface in general - my laptop doesn't have an audio output so I connect the laptop to the POD via USB, which then goes into my speakers, but I get the same issue when listening to any audio. I'm not sure if it's the volume pot on the back of the POD as that's always been very sensitive but generally only when adjusting it, not when it's not even being touched. I can only find one other thread on this issue from a few years ago which was unresolved. Has anybody else had this problem? If it is the volume pot, does anybody know the spec for me to buy a generic spare? Thanks.
  2. Using the headphone jack on the POD itself is the only way I can really use it. The problem is that I can't hear to record or even just play over another track this way. In Cakewalk, I have the option of ASIO POD HD400 or ASIO4ALL Line 6 POD HD400, but only the 2nd one is selectable - the standard ASIO one is greyed out.
  3. I have a POD HD400 which I've always used for recording straight into my PC via the line-in jack, as I don't use an amp. Obviously not ideal, but it worked. But I switched to a laptop which has no audio inputs, meaning I have to use the USB connection. The issue is that I just cannot get it working. Cakewalk allows me to record, but I don't hear anything as I play, nor when I play back afterwards. I can't even use the laptop as a simple speaker because if I go into device properties and choose "listen to this device", I get ridiculous latency. I've tried messing around in ASIO4all but the software is so dated and non-user-friendly that I just get different options pop up or disappear when I go into ASIO4all or back into Cakewalk. Is there a simple guide for how to get this set up? I just want to use my laptop as a speaker
  4. I upgraded my PC to Windows 10 yesterday, and I've tried to install my POD HD400 today with no luck. If I connect via USB, I get a notification that Windows has detected new hardware, but it stays as 'unknown'. I've installed the drivers manually by downloading them from the Line 6 website, and also through Line 6 Monkey, which doesn't detect the HD400 in any case. When I install the drivers, it does the normal thing where it asks you to disconnect at first, and then to reconnect, at which point Windows should detect it and install by itself, but that doesn't happen. I have no issues with other USB devices so I don't know why this won't install? I can get why Windows might not have the details to install drivers automatically but if I've installed the Line 6 ones it should be working? Also, the POD itself works fine, and was also working through USB without problems before switching to Win10.
