  1. Thanks! Ok, one way to sell own HX controller. One way to mimic that function is to send command for first preset and then followings are just + or - that. But I find it would be handy to scroll starting preset with Helix's scroll and then just + or - with pedal. With two way midi this would work (as the controller knows what preset is in Helix) but my controller have only midi out connector.
  2. Hi! I'm trying to figure out is there any way to change presets with midi controller. I have diy made fully programmable 6-button controller and manual says you can assign footswitch mode's buttons via midi CC. I can get everything else to work but this is lagging. Can anybody tell is this even possible? Can I assign my controller's button 4 act like a footswitch mode's FS1 and assign that in Command Center of Rack unit to change bank up? Thanks!
  3. This case is solved. No problem with Helix. Same dissonance effect with UR22 usb inteface driven with OCD distortion pedal and IR-cab sim in daw. Maybe it's just a "feature" or result of my playing style or moon phase etc. Fortunately I can play same riff (Toto's - Hold the Line) on another postition without dissonance effect. :) Thanks for help!
  4. oops, my bad! I mean dissonance between F played on D string after E played on D string because E on D strings makes E string vibrate too.
  5. Thanks for answers! Here's what seems to be the issue. When I play E from D-string (2. fret) The E string vibrates too an causes that dissonance. If I mute E string then there's no problem. So I guess that because modelling unit stacks all modelling staff on the top off clean guitar sound the modelling gains all "bad" things too. But I've played guitar about 20 years and now first time noticed this problem. Helix is my 4th or 5th modelling unit plus plug-ins so this unit or I do something wrong. I tested bypassing all blocks the dissonance is there. With German Mahadeva amp (other blocks still bypassed) the effect is strongest. Of course the effect is noticeable with other half step intervals too. Like G-string 2nd to 3th fret with resonating A string. Argh!
  6. Here is the clip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/88eaovm06363pvq/helix.mp3?dl=0 Recorded straight via USB with Cubase Elements 7 and here are explanations: 1) D-string 2. fret 2) D-string 3. fret 3) D-string 2. to 3. fret (here is the strange effect like 1st sounds stays under next one a while) 4) Half step inteval from A and D strings (same effect like on previous) 5) Toto's Hold the Line (that's where I noticed the effect) 6) same as spot 3 without 200 ms delay block after IR Any thoughts? I tried three different guitars and same thing with all. For me it sounds like piano's sustain pedal is pressed and previous note holds under the next one and thats sound like that half step interval. Very annoying.
