Hi All, Really can use some of your personal experience. My goal is to have the amp and effects sound like rock from the 90s (pearl jam, alice in chains, stp, nirvana etc...) in the POD Edit windows software I have: Selected the "Brit-J-800" amp, which is based on the marshal JTM45, which most of the grange rock bands uses I need recommendation on how to set the defaults (drive,bass,mid, treble etc.) I do not know what Cab module is or what is it used for. could use a good recommendation here as well. i also do not know what Mic is and how to set it, so again i could use a good recommendation. below there is the class, topology and mode, again, i am not sure what they are used for so if you can recommend it would be great. let's start with this. thanks in advanced

thanks, i will try it out. if i understand correctly what you are saying, if i plug the USB from the Pod to my computer, then for example open you tube site and play a song, i will hear it in my headphones plugged to the Pod together with me playing the guitar plugged to the pod is this correct?

Hi, i've found a nice site i can hear famous songs without the guitar part. my goal is to play together with these songs. i know i have the USB cable for HD500X The only software I know is POD HD500X Edit but i am not sure how to listen to the sound through the computer (through this app) do i need anything else? what am i missing here? thanks in advanced

thanks! leave the master volume alone! i'd set it at about 2 o'clock and make my adjustments. this give you room to go higher and lower... "overall" set the regular volume and save the tone.... some you will turn up and some you will turn down... doing it this way will ultimately have the master volume adjust all tones at one time (relative to where you saved them) this will make switching between them much easier... the mix of volumes that you are hearing is because people don't know things like this... but also because their environments and requirements are different.

basically no magic solution :( i will have to work through each and every tone (and i have a lot) and adjust its sound .....

Hi, i've downloaded some really nice custome tones from line6 site. problem is they all come with different volume level, so when i switch from tone to tone i need to play with the master volume any pointers on how to create a unified volume across several tones? thanks in advanced

how do i delete an effect from the set list? i know how to move and how to copy it, but i couldn't find a way to delete it i am using the POD HD500X Edit windows application thanks for any help

a question, let's say I have downloaded an effect from the custom tones site. This effect is a distortion effect. let's also say i have downloaded another effect from the custom tones site. that effect is a wha-wha effect. is there a way to combine the 2 into 1 effect, and toggle the wha-wha effect for instance by controlling it from either the wha-wha pedal or one of the top buttons? thanks kindly for any reply

thank you both for your reply. as for my first question, i got a clear and proper answer. as for the second question. maybe i can elaborate more, i have pedals besides my HD500X pod. if i connect only the pedals (chorus, distortion and wah wah) and switch on/off between them, it is instant! on the HD500X is different (even without connected to the computer), there is a 100-300 milisecond delay until the actual sound is heard. it is annoying because i would like my effect switching to be fluent.... i hope my question is more clearer now thank you for your responses Yaron

Hi All, I have 2 questions: 1. How do i combine 2 effects in 1. for example I have "metalica sound" and now i want to operate it together with wah wah effect? 2. when i switch between effects it is not smooth. i takes half a second till i hear the new effect...is this by design?
