  1. Thanks dboomer, as mentioned I plugged in a bass guitar with very little if any output on the top bass speaker. You are knowledgeable on this product and when you didn't respond after I mentioned the bass test I assumed there could be an issue. Also, the 100hz output test did produce sounds on all speakers as well as the non-bass speakers (2- 250hz to 2.2khz-7.okhz and Horn-2.2khz-7.0khz) which was interesting. Nevertheless, if someone else would have responded with the same results I would have closed this issue without question.
  2. L3t speaker returned shipping from Line6 today, tested it and found the same results. Plugged in bass guitar and no top speaker sound 'or possibly very faint sound'. Plugged in a mic, same results. Top speaker has no hissing sound like the horn and bottom speaker when volume is cranked up. I'll check with Line6 tomorrow on the status, the PO had no information on what was done. It's possible it may have been tested and this is the expected result. Nevertheless, if anyone from the 250 plus hits has an L3t please plug in a bass or mic and test the top speaker, it takes about two minutes to test. I have renewed interest in your findings.
  3. Undetermined at this time, they have not been returned however that's my suspicion. If you have time plug in a bass guitar or mic, listen to the top speaker in various modes and share the results. Maybe we can save someone else $80 on shipping.
  4. I plugged in a bass and tested via PA and Electric Guitar modes and it's really faint on the top woofer. It seems the crossover should have a higher output signal to that speaker. Strange the 100hz sound outputs well in all three speakers. Nevertheless, if I can't find someone from this forum to test on their l3t speaker in a couple of days I'll ship it off to Calabasas CA.
  5. Padolin, PLEASE plug I a mic in to your l3t and tell me if you hear any vocal sound coming from the top speaker. (or play a cd on playback mode and let me know if you hear any vocals on the top speaker.) The middle horn and bottom woofer produce vocal sound however the top woofer is silent as far as vocals. My eq and mod knobs are all around 3 o'clock. Dboomer, thank you for the excellent advice. I miked and recorded a 100hz sound from youtube via ProTools then burned on a cd then played from a cd player via rca jack on playback mode and the 100 hz sound came in strong in all three speakers. This is confusing, if I can confirm one other l3t does not produce vocals on the top speaker then I'm assuming that's the norm.
  6. Can someone PLEASE test this on your l3t. My new l3t TOP speaker produces no vocal sound when I plug in a mic or play a cd with vocals. I understand the horn and two woofers are three way and will sound different however I'm not sure if the top speakers is working correctly. The vocals come out crisp and loud on the bottom woofer and the horn. The top speaker does product a light mid to low vibration for my acoustic guitar however it's very light and no vocal sound occurs and I've tested ALL modes. Also, is the top speaker woofer 1 as explained in the next sentence? (Woofer 1 - everything below 250hz, Woofer 2- 250hz to 2.2khz-7.okhz and Horn-2.2khz-7.0khz depending on speaker mode.) I'm fixing to return to line6 for repair however if someone tests this and finds the same result this will save me the time and shipping. It may help if you put your ear up to each speaker to find the correct driver location and make a light pencil mark prior to testing.
