PAD is to the right, -20

I have all of the EQ knobs set at about the 1-2 o'clock position. verb and mod knobs are all the way down. modeling is off. feedback suppression is on and the dual mono switch is set to the dual mono side, not the stereo link. this is on a single speaker, they are not linked.

thats what im hearing. It is NOT me hitting harmonics. Its like a phantom sound. its bothering me!

Im using channel one. the first strum is just the 6 strings. then after that you hear 3 more notes. The guitar doesnt have any controls for the pickup. its clearest right after the first strum right after the last string is played
-
You can here it in this recording in the first strum really well. Its definitely electronic in nature and not the guitar. New Recording.m4a

Ive played it through a small Trace Elliott TA-50 amp with no problems. its just this guitar/ speaker combo. I have a Martin HD-28 that sounds fine. it has a martin thinline pickup. The D41 just has a lot of high end sound and that darned echo thing. it takes a second to notice it, ill try to get a recording of it if i can

No, everything is flat

Yeah, ive checked it several times. Its not hard to hear and it sounds like an electronic overtone

I have plugged my Martin D-41SP with a Schertler bluestick pickup straight into my L3t speaker. When I play I hear a distinct electronic echo in the speaker. Its almost like an electronic delay of some sort. Has anyone heard this or had any issues with this? Thanks

L3T's and a solo bass bin
padolin replied to padolin's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
ok, thanks tom. im gonna run up to my local dealer today and see if i can get him to bargain with me a little bit. wife might go a little crazy but it should be worth it, lol -
So, I ve played out with this system a couple times and I really like it. I would like to get a single bass bin to put with it though. I cant seem to cough up the money to get the L3S, so im looking at a peavey PVXp. Would I have any issues that anyone can think of trying to make these all work together?? I am doing 90% acoustic with this system. Two acoustic guitars and a vocal mic. Everyonce in a while ill hook a 12 channel alesis board to the system and run it that way, like a regular PA. any ideas?? Thanks

so what happens to the sound when you dont use the digital cable?? does the speaker just quit working? i have two brand new mic cables that are pretty nice but are not digital. (the guy at the music store hadnt even heard of a digital mic/ xlr cable). does this mean that in the middle of a show everything will just quit working or what?

L3T first use.... wow the feedback!!
padolin replied to padolin's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Yeah, thats what i was hoping to hear. I noticed that the bass players bass amp was a wedge type and was pointing right toward the back of the singers heads. Also he was singing into a dynamic mic which may have added to the problem. I had the knobs one mark past the notch on the speakers. next time ill back it down a bit. After reading some things on here i see that may have added to it. (why let the knob go past the notch if that is optimum?.... hmmmm....) high bypass filter?? not heard of such a thing?? Never thought of a direct box! ill try that next time Been away from this sound/ music thing waaayyyy too long!!! Thanks for all the help!! -
I just downsized my PA system from somthing that I used to tow in a trailer to 2 L3T's and a Alesis multimix 12 firewire mixer. I have only used the mixer a few times and Im not very familiar with it. Its been in storage for a few years. So i just recieved my 2 L3T's this week and was anxious to use them. A friend of min was playing a local gig and i volunteered to run PA. His show consisted of a telecaster, a washburn acoustic, two vocals, an upright bass and a small drum kit. We ran everything except the drums through the mixer and the two L3t's. First off, the guitars and the vocals sounded great through the PA. On the other hand, the bass produced a really nasty boom throughout the whole show. Also, I belive there was quite a bit of low end feedback through the vocal mics and the acoustic guitars. Most of it was managable, but it was there. The bass feedback was horrible though. Has anyone noticed feedback issues useing a system similar to this? Does anyone have any suggestions? I may need to just get this system figured out some more and maybe get an equalizer or something. Thanks for the input!
