I'm only vaguely experienced with audio interfaces and routing, and recently purchased a POD HD500X from GC after the salesperson told me I could accomplish what I wanted from it. Yet after the initial setup I'm having a very difficult time doing that.
What I want is to route the sound out of my PC so I can hear the guitar and GP6 simultaneously through the same headset. Right now I have the POD connected via USB and the headset(3.5mm) connected to mobo. Setting the POD as audio device/recording device does nothing. I've tried using guitar rig and HD edit to no avail.
Is this something I can accomplish? If so, how?
I realize it's probably better overall to have the POD routed to external speakers, if I were to buy a pair, what would you recommend?
I have also noticed that there's no 3.5mm jack on the POD itself, so what other accessories do I need to get?
