Appreciate the apology, but I did make it clear in the OP. And I'm not here to debate what the Helix can or can't do versus what the AxeIII can or can't do. I honestly don't care about any of that. This particular feature (I was inquiring about) is quite useful for the challenged guitarist that I am. It simply allows a modifier to track the guitar pitch and adjust delay mix accordingly. This saves my less than stellar ability to hit buttons at certain times...in proper time. The delay just morphs into being on... more and more...the higher the pitch. If the Helix can do something like that, fantastic. If it can't, no worries.

But I came in politely (without knowing anyone's personality, the lingo and op basis around here etc) and insinuated that I didn't want to ruffle anyone's feathers. I didn't come in here bad mouthing anyone or the Helix product. I have an FAS AxeIII...but I'm considering a Helix rack for a separate project. I'm definitely not going to allow something someone says to influence a purchase or not (not only do I have humor, but I've got quite thick skin as well), but...way to go bro, you definitely didn't make a sale this time....LOLOL [<-- see that, humor ;-)]

Seriously? Is this a joke? I don't know of any code and I'm not aware of how to find any Easter egg. Would be nice to just be able to know if the unit functions as requested and how to make it function as such.

Hello, not looking for any flame wars, hopefully just some data. Does the Helix have modifiers similar to the FAS AxeIII? By that I mean (for example) something that could track pitch and thereby control the mix % of delay. I read through the manual and didn't see anything, nor did I see anything anywhere on the net. Thanks in advance for any help.

Got it from zzounds. It doesn't make enough sense for me to get W7 (besides this issue) as I haven't used my computer in many months (and don't really plan to use it much if any). I also don't necessarily need to always upgrade the Helix as I liked it fine but just need the Black Screen thing fixed. Would really like to let someone demo the unit (with their own guitar, amps and speakers etc.) in exchange for an upgrade.

Anyone in the San Fernando valley (I'm in North Hollywood) that might be able to lend a hand with a computer that has Windows 7 or later to upgrade my Black Screened Helix? I was hoping someone that doesn't yet have one but wanted to try it out before buying could do this. Help flow in both directions eh😀 Let me know, Doug
