Hi! I'm new here and having a hopefully simple question about Toneport UX2. My friend got the Toneport UX2 from another friend because her children want to start making music, but no one knows how long they will find this fun, therefore she tries to get a cheap start with used items. I tried to help her install the soundcard, with new driver from Line6, and got it working as far as at it shows in Ableton and Cubase, and it plays sound from the computer to the monitors. The problem is that I can't get it to register any signal from any external instrument. I tried the line input with keyboard and xlr input with a microphone (with and without 48V). I switched all components (mic, cable etc) from my own recording interface (zoom r16) where it worked fine, to the input of the Toneport, and then there is no signal. I have a strong feeling that I'm missing something simple here, since everything with the interface seems to work fine. Am I supposed to use any other software to route inputs, or for any other reason? I hope there is something easy that you can help me with!
