  1. Ok, I come from the store. The unit was definitely a defective one. I was lucky they had another one that they just received from YAMAHA MUSIC EUROPE. So I asked them to do the update there in the store just in case. Again, the unit came with the Flash Firmware v1.00 (in the box again said "POD HD500X INT P25-1"). But this time, the USB Firmware was v1.04 (in the defective one it said v0.00 inside the unit and v1.00 in Monkey). Finally with this unit the update process had no problem at all. And now at home I just opened EDIT without problems. Still I can't believe they are sending units of the HD500X with the Flash Firmware v1.00.
  2. Pianoguyy I'm quite sure that the store is not who sold me an old unit because still was in the box that they received directly from YAMAHA MUSIC EUROPE shipment, and the date was January 31, 2017. It was sealed with the original labels on it. What I also see in the label from YAMAHA MUSIC EUROPE is that the unit description is "POD HD500X INT P25-1", so I guess P25-1 is refering to a unit with the original firmware. :(
  3. Hurghanico, I forgot to say that I already tried in 3 different computers. Two laptops and one desktop computer. Rewolf48, about the firmware, if I look into the unit (holding down the View button) it says FLASH FW: V1.00, USB FW: V0.00. In Monkey, the USB firmware is 1.04 (I also tried downwarding to 1.01) and the FLASH firmware is 1.0 (and sometimes unknown while trying to uodate it). Strange for a new unit. I guess it is a defective unit, so this week I will return it to the store. Thanks both for your replies.
  4. I just bought the unit today (April 1, 2017) with a lot of enthusiasm and expectations, but I ended very upset. I tried every single thing I could read in this forums but nothing worked. So I guess I will have to return the unit this week. It is very sad that this things are still happening. Why the new units being sold in 2017 can't have already the new flash installed? The version 2.62.00 was released 4/9/15. If I return the unit for a new one will happen the same? What chances I have? I have a MSI GE62 2QD Apache Pro laptop with Windows 10. The unit has the Flash Memory v1.00. I have the Line 6 v4.2.7.6 Drivers. It's being detected correctly in the Device Manager. I updated without any problem to the USB Firmware v1.04. So it communicates correctly with the unit through USB. What I tried so far with no luck at all (I tried more things but this ones are the ones that comes to my mind at this moment)... - Using P25-1.10.phf, P25-1.20.phf, P25-1.30.phf, P25-1.32.phf, P25-2.61.phf, P25-2.62.phf flash files. - Using Monkey 1.71, 1.72 and 1.74 - Using all my USB ports available. - Disabling the Antivirus and the Firewall. - Entering in "NORMAL" mode - Entering in "UPDATE FLASH" mode (Power Up and Nav Pad Down) - Entering in "SAFE MODE" mode (Power Up and Nav Pad Right). - When asked to keep the existing patches, selecting Yes and No. - Using "Update Selection" and "Update from file" options. - Also did the FACTORY RESET (Power Up and Nav Pad Left). - Installing/uninstalling/reinstalling software/drivers. - Rebooting Windows. - Tried everything several times. I guess no one will have any answer to help solving the situation, right? :(
