  1. I've searched here and Dr. Google, with no luck..... Can you reassign the "Tap" footswitch, to a different function.... Either in command center, or elsewhere? I'm running in "Preset/Stomp" mode (I don't want to deviate from that). The top row is all my presets, the bottom row is all the stomps I want to have access to in each preset. I'm wanting to us the "Tap" footswitch as a volume boost for my solos. I know I can use the expression pedal, but I have a wah assigned to that, so it'll boost the volume before it activates the wah, which I don't always want to do. I also know I can use one of my current footswitches (2, 3, 4, 5 - Presets) - (8, 9, 10, 11 - FX) ... But they're filled upon most of my presets. Just trying to figure out if I can reassign the "Tap" footswitch somehow, or even the "Mode" footswitch, as I don't use either of those. Thanks in advance!
  2. So.... I sent mine to a Line 6 repair tech.... The issue with mine was the ribbon cable that connects the 2 circuit boards together. He unplugged it, blue compressed air and deox-it in and on the connections, plugged it back in and it worked!
  3. A few weeks ago, my HX FX glitched out on me.... Only a few of the screens were showing, bank up/down were in the wrong spot, the screen(s) were all flickering and it was un-responsive on certain blocks (footswitches). I sent it to a semi-local, licensed, Line 6 repair tech and finally got it back yesterday. He said he fully expected to find broken solder joints, or some burned-in spots on the circuit board.....But, instead there was a ribbon cable that connected two circuit boards.... He disconnected that, blew compressed air and then deox-it inside the connections, plugged it back in - and it worked!?!? I have never dropped the unit, or let it "clunk" on the ground or fall over.....I've never let it get cold and hot (condensation). I'm now worried about it's reliability at a gig (yes, I still get to play 1-2 gigs each weekend). Has anyone else had this issue?? Is it common?? Should I be concerned about this happening again?? I got this to replace my big pedalboard..... I don't want to bring my pedalboard with me for a backup now?
  4. I just purchased a used one and it has the exact same issue, except it didn't go away with a reset or power cycle. Did you ever figure out the issue?
  5. It started 2 weeks ago, at first I contributed it to a bad cable... After about an hour of playing at my gig, I had no sound? After frantically narrowing it down to my M5, I just completely removed it from my chain. Like I said, I contributed it to a bad cable. This weekend, I used all new cables and after 3 songs it did it again? So it went to my car on my first break. When I say there's "no sound".... That's not entirely true. If you put your ear up to the speaker of my amp, you can faintly hear some sound coming out, but it's basically nothing. I'm using the power supply from my TC Electronics Flashback X4, which I've used for the last 6 months with no problems. (it requires 9v 300ma to run, but I believe the power supply is 9v 500ma, I'll verify that tonight) Is this a known issue?? If so, how do I fix it? Probably going to try a factory reset and/or re-flashing the firmware (if I can find my midi cable). Any suggestions?
