  1. I didn't see a solution and had the same problem. I found that dns.google was being blocked by OpenDNS due to adware/proxy anonymizer category I block on my home network. What this tells me is the app may be running afoul of users that have finer security controls. If you have issues getting to dns.google via a browser, the app likely is running into problems as well. Hope this helps somebody. Not sure why the Spider Remote app needs to go to dns.google but I suspect it is just to validate an "up" Internet connectivity. A bit pointless in my opinion if it can break the app for perfectly healthy Internet connections! Uncle Jeb
