  1. I just wanted to discuss a design problem that I've experienced with Line-6 pedal boards. Specifically the ones that require a DC Power Supply. I still have an old which I still absolutely love! Problem is that the connection for the power is structurally very fragile. The input part tends to break loose from it's support and then the power will cut out completely. For a while, I would just tape the wire to the chassis to keep it tight but then that didn't help either. What I finally did was to open and disassemble the unit. Getting that "motherboard" out was extremely difficult. I removed the connector from the board. I then located the 2 spots on the board where the power comes in. I soldered a piece of lamp-cord to the posts and then soldered a Female RCA Connector to the other end. I was then able to secure it with the screw on cap from the inside. Tiny bit of glue was needed to keep it secure. Then I soldered a Male RCA connector to the power supply wire. Since it's only carrying 9 Volts, I figure its pretty safe. Problem solved. I just wanted to pass this quick fix along.
