  1. Update: Well, the clue was in my question. I simply went to my older Windows 10 machine and the update went ahead without a hitch. I have no idea why the Windows 11 machine creates a problem but there it is. I take back my earlier thoughts about more comprehensive instructions being available. Once I got past the driver issue the instructions were actually excellent. My apologies.
  2. Hi Having acquired my cable from Amazon (see above) I'm now working on the actual update using the instructions from the Line 6 website - I've attached a screenshot of the instructions I am using. I've got to step two, but I hit a snag with a driver - A dialogue box tells me a driver I need can't be downloaded (see second screenshot). Has anyone come across this and found a solution? FYI I'm using windows 11, though I have a machine running Windows 10 Pro if this makes life easier. I'm finding the instructions vague. I'm not sure for example at what stage I should be hooking up the Helix to the laptop... after I've downloaded the version 3.7 edit or after? If anyone knows of a more coherent or comprehensive set of instructions online somewhere that would be really useful. Apologies if I sound unworldly on this subject - but it's only because I am. I appreciate any help anyone can offer. Cheers Stephen
  3. This is really kind of you thanks. I'll scoot over to Amazon. I'll take a look at the Lone 6 updater too - presumably this is because I haven't updated in a long time. I'm embarrassed to say I'm running firmware ver 2.82.0 I really appreciate your help.
  4. Please try not to laugh, but I haven't updated my Helix in four years and of course now I want to do so the connecting cable is missing. Where can I buy the real thing? Or, am I being naive and will any cable with the right connectors will get the job done? (FYI I have Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 on my laptop) and I'm running Windows 11. This will be a big undertaking looking at the instructions on the Line 6 website so I just don't want to begin the process without the right connection. I think I'll be very lucky if this is my only question on thisvforum before my update is complete. Any help much appreciated. Cheers.
