A sustain shorter than two seconds is unnatural. Is there a setting to adjust it? My Fender acoustisonic amp doesn't behave like this. The owner's manual doesn't do a very good job of expaining what all the various settings within Catalyst edit are for.

I have been trying to improve sustain in my Catalyst 100 but nothing works. It is particularly bad when I plug in my Variax standard in the acoustic mode. Play a note or chord and sound drops out almost immediately Any suggestions?

A problem has come up with most of the drop tuning functions. Standard works fine. But when I switch to 1/2 down, 1 down, etc. the top three strings (E, B, G) sound like I am playing a 12 string on them. The lower strings are fine. Is this a hardware or software issue?

Just made an interesting discovery - when I plug in a 3.5mm male into the laptop headphone jack and the other into the amp aux I can use the app. As soon as I try the usb cable, it registers as Catalyst 100 but the app won't work. Strange. Could the usb connector be somehow defective? I have two of them. I've noticed that the end that plugs into the amp does not plug all the way in. Is this normal or should it fit snugly?

Yes, I tested this before and retested it again. Got the test tone. I can even get a sound when I move the sound volume at the lower right side of the screen. The app will still not run unless I go to the web.

And you're right - who are you? One of the most helpful and knowledgeable people I know, if these posts are any indication. Thanks again. Unfortunately, even with doinig the sound panel adjustment it still doesn't work in the app mode. Only on the web.

OK, should I download the 1.97.0.2 or not? If not, I will review whether or not I have Catalyst as the Default playback device in the Windows Sound panel. If it works for you it should for me. Thanks again for all the help!

My laptop does not have ASIO.

One more thing - I configured it within the Karafun program itself in the audio function. The laptop itself reads the Catalyst amp too. But no joy.

Thanks for the quick reply. The web app works but the actual downloaded Windows Karafun app on the laptop itself does not work. The songs will not load up.

Strange topic - I am trying to use my Catalyst amp to work my karaoke (karafun version 2) through the USB hooked up to my laptop. The program will only work using their web application and not the one installed on my laptop. It doesn't work on the desktop either. Is this a limitation with the amp? Has anyone else had this unusual problem?

Maybe (are you ready for this?) it's gaining weight because of too much feedback.

Hi all! Just ordered a JTV-59 Standard from Musician's Friend and the description of accessories includes only the gig bag - no battery, charger, etc. Am I to assume that these are going to be there? Musician's Friend can't answer the question. Guitar Center has the same description and they didn't know either. Thanks!
