Workbench not connetting to Variax Standard SOLVED - It was the wrong net cable.. but pay attention even if the same cable works via Pod HD500x or Helix. So after two days of strugling with the usb adaptor and Workbench not connecting, changing cables, pc, Mac, reinstalling software etc...I tried to connect with the same rj45 cable via Pod HD500X..and it worked. The cable is almost recent and bought no more than 2 years ago from Amazon. So I tought it was due to the usb adaptor (altought it was showing green lights on both sides). I fortunately visited a shop that was selling the Variax Standard with all the accessories..I brought my Laptop with me..and my cable. Not working with it..but working with the cable from Variax (Cat 5..printed on it). So the end of the story is: don't think that if you take a net cable from your arsenal it is a Cat5 cable.... Bought it a new one from Amazon for 0.89 cents..Now everything is working properly. Pay attention to the false positive not Cat5 cable behevior via POD HD500x or Helix..it can drive you crazy.
