Copboy

Just purchased a Spider Jam and when it is first turned on it sounds great. But after a few minutes a low hiss starts and get louder and louder until a loud cracking noise happens and then the amp sounds fine again. it does this over and over. It does it whether a guitar is plugged into it or not. I have tried several different guitars and cords but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
