Just wanted to share my solution to this -- the hum stopped after I unplugged the power supply to my MacBook Pro. Obviously not ideal as I now have to rely on laptop battery life when using HX Edit with my Stomp plugged into amp/monitors, but it works for now and I will happily take it as I was starting to go a little bit insane moving cables/plugs around.
