I connected it to Workbench and the volumes of the 2 strings were at 0. I was able to fix it that way. But we are a little worried about what made it do that.

So I'm playing a gig in front of a few thousand people when my other guitar player had to switch guitars. Later he said the top 2 strings just stopped working. At this point he did not connect it to the Workbench HD. The top 2 strings worked when we started. I did eventually connect it to Workbench and yes, I had to turn the volume up on those strings. Anybody have any ideas on what could have happened here?

I've been working with Workbench HD and I've been creating my own settings but one of the settings has 2 notes on two of the strings. I'm looking in Workbench and I'm not seeing any of the 12 string settings activated. Anybody run into this?

I finally talked to somebody at Line 6 about this and they said you no longer need Monkey to use Workbench HD.

psarkissian: I do have a L6 License Manager folder. It's not letting me login. Also, I am connecting direct into my laptop with the Variax interface. It is the Variax 700 Electric.

I am unable to hear the tuning changes I am doing to a User preset I am trying to edit. I've heard people say you have to be on the Model setting of the bottom knob to hear the changes so I make these changes and save them (button by the Manage button) and when I go to the preset setting on the knob it does not reflect the tuning changes I was trying to make. Any help, please.

I'm having trouble hearing the tuning changes I want to do to a specific setting. I can only hear those changes when I'm in the "Model" knob setting. How can I tweak, say, the "User 3" knob setting I've created and hear the changes before uploading it to the Variax?

So, has anybody had issues with the switch on the Shurikan Variax? It will all of a sudden change sounds on me in the middle of playing. It's a brand new guitar. My other guitar player said he also was having an issue with that. Anybody else have this issue? I'm wondering if it automatically flips through sound settings with certain settings on the knobs.

I am wondering what software to use for the Shuriken Variax? Is it Helix? I read somewhere that it uses the Line 6 Monkey program but I've downloaded it and I have no idea on how to get started. Can someone help please?

I just bought this guitar (Shuriken Vatiax) and I've been having electrical problems. I just had to send it back to Sweetwater to fix the tone know. Now I think there is a problem with the switch. It seems to change sounds when I tap on the switch. I don't suppose there's some kind of feature I'm not aware of thats making it do that, is there?

Thank you for the links. I was able to eventually pull the knob off. I just wasn't used to knobs being on there that tight.

I just bought the Shuriken Variax 270 and one of the tone knobs is wiggling. I tried taking off the knob to tighten the hex nut like I would do any other guitar but it will not come off of there. And there is no allen wrench screw to loosen on the knob. What can I do? Anybody?
